Airport Professional Center was a value-add redevelopment project in Irvine, California. The project is comprised of a 63,225 square foot two-story office building that was re-developed into single-story office project totaling 40,000 square feet with one-level of subterranean parking. , The project is organized around a series of shaded entry courts, allowing access to the individual units and maximizing their exposure to natural daylight, while minimizing the building’s solar heat gain. Koll Airport Professional Center achieved LEED certification utilizing a number of sustainable strategies, including building re-use, high-efficiency HVAC units and lighting, a high-performance building envelope, low-flow plumbing fixtures and materials high in recycled content. Located in the Irvine Business Complex, the property is centrally located in the triangle formed by the I-5, I-405, and 55 freeways. All three freeways make the property accessible from Tustin, Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Santa Ana in addition to the surrounding Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside Counties. John Wayne Airport is located less than a mile from the site.
